Split Functionality

In the SHARE presentation which initiated the creation of these pages, the REXX routine used two programs, one to create the LE enclave, and the other to perform the calls to the LE compliant program.

Before investigating the conversion of a sub-routine, as the code is currently, to an external REXX function, it was decided to split the existing program in two to resemble the SHARE presentation.

Splitting the existing code into two programs

• The REXX routine used as the driver.
  
  Basically the same as in Phase 4 but with the required LE program name appended to the first parameter prior to executing the DO loop.
  
  
• The Assembler to create the LE enclave
  
  
• The Assembler invoke the LE compliant program
  
  
• The COBOL program invoked by the Assembler interface
  
  This was unchanged from Phase 4.
  
  
• The Job Control Language (JCL) used for the test.
  
  Batch jobs were used for all test runs to aid debugging as and when necessary.
  
  
• The Job Control Language (JCL) to load the KSDS Cluster.
  
  
• Data loaded into the KSDS Cluster.
