A Sequence of variables

A sequence of variables is formed by EXECIO automatically by appending a numeric value to the variable name as in the sequence shown opposite.

The sequence will be consecutive, and is produced when the period (.) is omitted from the variable name which follows the word STEM.

This is a z/OS option only and is not available in z/VM.
