Legac-e - BLKSIZE : Relevance to Performance and CapacityThe job illustrated opposite has been extracted from my Job Control Language course, and is designed to created 1,398 sixty
byte records, but will fail with an SD37 ABEND.
The reason for the failure will be explained in Demonstration 6.
In all four demonstrations the first step (IEFBR14) makes the job re-runnable and is designed to avoid DUPLICATE
NAME JCL errors.
If the JCL is cut and pasted to your own system, the submitter's Userid will be substituted for &SYSUID which should minimise
the need for changes.
Both IEFBR14 and IEBDG are standard IBM supplied programs, and should exist in SYS1.LINKLIB.
